This book, which consists of text and carefully selected photographs,presents the pathJorge Mario Bergoglio has been on since he was born in theArgentinian family of Italianimmigrants, until he became the head of the HolySee. We first learn about his childhood,with a priceless influence of hisgrandmother, his youth, when he went his own ways, andthe time he grew readyforthe priesthood. We then move to his biography as a priest (1969?1992), theAuxiliary Bishop of Archdiocese in Buenos Aires (1992?1998) and theArchbishopofBuenos Aires (1998?2013), who was elevated to the rank of cardinalby Pope JohnPaul IIin 2001. A separate part covers the Conclave after theresignation ofBenedict XVI from thepost of the Bishop of Rome, when hissuccessor wasappointed. The other information andphotographs are an attempt tosummarise thepontificate so far.
